01About us

We build Berlin — an AI agent that automates Search Visibility end-to-end.

Modern search visibility — SEO, AEO, GEO — breaks down into three pillars: strategy, execution, and the tools that power both. Berlin automates across all three. The kind of work that traditionally takes an SEO team weeks gets compressed into hours.

We're now hiring our first SEO Strategist to own client accounts, drive real outcomes across SEO and AI search, and make Berlin sing in the wild.

02About the role

Hands-on. Client-facing. Berlin ships.

This is the kind of work an experienced in-house SEO or agency-side SEO does — with two big differences: Berlin handles the execution grunt work alongside you, and you'll use Berlin exclusively for that execution. You bring the strategy, the judgment, the client ownership, and the experimental nose for what’s working in modern search.

It's a pure delivery role — no sales, no pitching new business. Your job is to drive results for the clients you own across SEO and AI search, and to build the playbooks the rest of the team will inherit.

Velocity is the job. Search visibility is moving faster than wildfire — AI overviews, LLM citations, answer engines, new ranking signals every quarter. We apply things fast, verify experiments fast, kill what doesn’t work fast, and do dramatically more for each client than a traditional agency would in the same window. Berlin is what makes that pace possible.

As the first SEO hire on the delivery side, you'll work directly with the founders and have a direct line into Berlin's roadmap. When you hit something Berlin can't do yet, you tell us, and it gets built.

03What you'll do

Outcomes, not a deliverable list.

  • 01Own search visibility end-to-end for clients across ecom, SaaS, and local / professional services. Outcomes, not a fixed list of monthly deliverables.
  • 02Lead the application of Berlin for each client — research what’s working in this client's context, design the experiments, run them through Berlin, read the results, double down or kill.
  • 03Run a continuous experimentation loop across SEO, AEO, GEO, and whatever new surface shows up next quarter. There is no "we don’t do that here."
  • 04Build segment-specific playbooks — because ecom, SaaS, and local search are three different sports.
  • 05Run weekly client calls (minimum) to align on what you’re testing, what’s landed, and what’s next.
  • 06Read relentlessly — research, operator Twitter, newsletters, Reddit, AI search papers — and translate what’s working today into client work within days, not quarters.
  • 07Feed the product team continuous feedback: where Berlin nailed it, where it missed, what features would 10× your throughput.
  • 08Document everything — client decisions, experiment results, Berlin prompts and workflows — so the playbook compounds.
Shipping ten experiments sounds more fun to you than perfecting one.

04Who you are

Generalist. Fast. Opinionated.

A fit if…

  • 2–4 years of hands-on SEO with results you can point to — traffic, rankings, revenue. Real numbers, not vanity metrics.
  • You're a generalist, not a one-lane specialist. Technical, on-page, content, off-page — you’ve done it.
  • You've worked with ecom, SaaS, or local / professional services — ideally more than one segment.
  • You've been forced to rethink "good SEO" in the last 18 months. AI overviews, LLM citations, answer engines — you have opinions you can back up.
  • Fluent with AI tools. You’ve built your own GPT / Claude / Perplexity workflows. Maybe written scripts.
  • You treat speed of iteration as the core skill.
  • Comfortable owning client outcomes solo and driving the agenda on weekly calls.
  • You write well — playbooks, write-ups, updates that people actually read.

Not a fit if…

  • Your best SEO work is 3+ years old. SEO has changed. If your playbook is still 2020-era, this isn’t the role.
  • You're a pure strategist who doesn't ship. This role runs at experiment-a-week (or faster) cadence.
  • You're allergic to giving blunt product feedback. We want you to complain loudly — and constructively — when Berlin gets something wrong.
  • You're an agency veteran looking for a senior oversight role. You're the one doing the work.
05The opportunity

A front-row seat in how search is being rebuilt.

01 / Remote
Fully remote.
Work from anywhere with overlap into European hours.
02 / Access
Direct line to founders.
Your feedback ships into Berlin's roadmap, not a backlog.
03 / Influence
Shape the playbook.
First delivery hire — the way you work becomes the template for the next ones.
04 / Position
Front-row to the AI search era.
A tool built for this era, applied to real clients, in real time.
06How to apply

Send us three things. No cover letters.

We care about how you think and what you’ve shipped. That’s it.

  • i.A recent SEO experiment or result you're proud of — ideally from the last 12 months. Short is fine.
  • ii.One thing you think traditional SEO folks are getting wrong about AEO / LLM search right now.
  • iii.Your LinkedIn or resume.
